La San Marco and the “Torneo delle Nazioni” 2024
Gradisca d’Isonzo, June 3, 2024 – La San Marco, a world leader in the production of professional coffee machines, and the Nations Tournament celebrated the closing of the 20th edition of the prestigious “Mundialito transfrontaliero.” The event, held at the company’s historic headquarters in Gradisca d’Isonzo, was attended by representatives of local institutions, main partners of the tournament, and numerous distinguished guests.
The General Manager of La San Marco, Eng. Roberto Nocera, emphasized the strong friendship and collaboration that binds the company to the Nations Tournament. “We are in perfect harmony on everything and we want to continue working together, also promoting messages related to sustainability and social responsibility,” Nocera stated. This 2024 edition saw the concentration of playing fields in a restricted area to limit transportation and reduce emissions.
During the ceremony, Faustino Seculin of BCC Venezia Giulia and Cristiano Franceschetto of VIVO Cantine confirmed their ongoing support for the Nations Tournament. An event that is not only an excellence from a competitive point of view but also an ambassador of high-profile social and civic initiatives aimed at the territory.
A particularly significant moment of the event was the intervention of the President of CONI Friuli Venezia Giulia, Giorgio Brandolin, who proposed the formation of a mixed Italian-Slovenian team to celebrate Nova Gorica/Gorizia as the European Capital of Culture 2025. This idea further underscores the spirit of collaboration and integration that the Nations Tournament and La San Marco passionately support and promote.
