Gradisca un caffè… o un caffè a Gradisca?
On October 5th, 2024, in addition to celebrating International Coffee Day, traditionally observed on October 1st each year, La San Marco organized the event “Gradisca un caffè… o un caffè a Gradisca?”, a special occasion to honor coffee as a symbol of conviviality and connection to the local territory.
The day began with the meaningful gesture of the “caffè sospeso,” a Neapolitan tradition that embodies the spirit of generosity and solidarity, perfectly aligned with the values of International Coffee Day. This gesture allowed anyone, even those in need, to enjoy a cup of coffee, emphasizing how coffee can be a tool for inclusion and sharing. Following this, a delightful breakfast, the result of a collaboration with Etica del Gusto, kicked off the day.
Guests then participated in a tour led directly by company employees, guiding them through the factory to showcase the various stages of the production process, from the design to the construction of espresso machines, highlighting the passion and expertise that make these machines unique.
Among the notable guests were representatives from China and the mayor of Gradisca d’Isonzo, who warmly welcomed participants, underscoring the deep bond between La San Marco and the local community. The event was an opportunity to bring the community together and celebrate coffee not just as a beverage, but as a symbol of sharing and sustainability.
