The organization complies with the prescriptions set by both the Italian and European laws for the “materials and parts in contact with food” (MOCA), i.e. materials and parts that for their use are touching food (e.g. kitchen tools, tableware, containers, food processing machines, packaging materials etc.). This expression also relates to materials and parts that are in contact with water, excluding fixed public or private water piping installations.
ETL Sanitation Mark indicates that equipment is fit for use in the production of food intended for human consumption, or the equipment is fit for use in an environment where food intended for human consumption is produced. Moreover the mark indicates that the manufacturer’s production site conforms to a range of compliance measures and is subject to a periodic regimen of follow-up inspections to verify continued conformance
